International Women's Day on TikTok
TikTok is a place where women can share their stories freely, connect with like-minded people, and be celebrated by the community. That's why, in the lead up to International Women's Day on 8 March, we're highlighting the enormous range of female-led content on the platform. From learning guitar to scoring tries on the rugby pitch, and everything in between, women on TikTok are expressing their authentic selves and telling their stories like nowhere else.
Read on to learn more about the invaluable contributions women are making to the TikTok community, and how your brand can tap in to the conversation in a meaningful way.
On TikTok, women feel safe sharing their unadulterated thoughts, wisdom and feelings, making their content funny, relatable and honest. It's a place where there are no boxes dictating who or what women should be.
To celebrate International Women's Day, and help the community discover this full spectrum of diverse and entertaining women on the platform, search for #WomenOfTikTok on your Discover page. The hashtag will showcase the brilliant, culture-driving content being created by women on TikTok.
We'll also launch an in-app generator tool that allows users to pick a random combination of words, and then returns a handle of someone who matches the chosen description, driving discovery of new female Creators. Well-known Creators will also be participating in a planned video series where they highlight three women they admire on TikTok, inviting others to discover them.
