Wise was launched in 2011 with the vision of making international money transfers cheap, fair, and simple. The app has since then been allowing its users to make new transfers, wherever they are in the world, at the touch of a button. Wise came to TikTok to run an exciting campaign that would drive brand new app installs, account registrations and purchases in-app.

Wise wanted to create relevant content for the TikTok community, so they took part in the TikTok Creative Exchange (TTCX) program. TTCX enables fast, scalable production of creative content for advertisers. The platform gives instant access to a selection of the best TikTok creative partners in the industry, and facilitates efficient collaboration. Advertisers can manage creative projects through the portal in a simple workflow, designed to generate best in-class creative. 

Wise paired up with agency partner Insense, and collaborated on producing impactful and educational ad creative. Keeping the creative TikTok-first, they partnered with Creators who had experienced the difficulties of moving to a new country, trying to transfer money across different currencies. Each Creator told their story and explained the benefits of Wise which can hold over 50 currencies, allowing its user to pay like a local, wherever they are in the world. The creative then ran as In-Feed Auction Ads, appearing natively in users’ For You feed. 

Wise certainly achieved their objective of driving app installs, with 1,050 brand new installs thanks to the campaign. The campaign also achieved over 500 registrations to Wise as well as over 350 purchases within the app. Overall the campaign drove 8.1 million impressions with an impressive conversion rate of 4.27% and a 34% uplift in install to registration (sign-up) rate when compared against previous campaigns.
