Change Checker is the home of UK coin collecting, offering services for anyone looking to find, swap, or compile their coin collections. To build brand awareness amongst a new audience, and also promote new coin releases, Change Checker came to TikTok to run multiple paid campaigns that would boost the brand’s visibility in a fun and engaging way.

When you’re trying to reach a particular group, TikTok In-Feed Ads are easy to set up and offer a lot of flexibility. By allowing you to control the costs of your campaign through TikTok Ads Manager, In-Feed Auction Ads mean brands can reach the right audiences for the most efficient spend. And what’s more, all you have to do is choose your targets, then let the platform’s algorithm find the best way to reach the campaign’s goal. 

For Change Checker, they chose to run a number of In-Feed Ads that would not only increase traffic to their website, but boost brand reach amongst their target audiences. Sound-on and full-screen, the ads ranged from top-tips on valuable coin spotting to detailed and entertaining summaries of Change Checker’s various services. Their ads focused on either conversions, brand awareness, or traffic, and featured a call-to-action which drove users to a Change Checker landing page.

Change Checker created multiple ads throughout their various campaigns, reaching more than 4.4 million young people across the country with engaging and creative videos – all while fulfilling the brand’s campaign budget in the most efficient way possible.

Impressive video views, coupled with a high click-through rate of over 1.5%, clearly demonstrates that the UK TikTok community had a strong interest in Change Checker and their services. 

Since December 2020, Change Checker has been developing our TikTok presence both organically and through paid content. Whilst this is still a new platform for us, we’ve learnt a lot from past campaigns, including optimising our ads for the best results and how we can convert viewers of our ads into followers. Our unique product offering has been very well received on TikTok with an excellent engagement rate and CTR, and whilst we continue to use TikTok as a brand-awareness focused platform, our experiments with conversion and traffic campaigns have indicated the opportunity for revenue generation, too. We look forward to experimenting further with re-targeting approaches as well as other conversion campaigns in the future,” said a representative from Change Checker.
