UniHomes provides student accommodation across the UK – with bills included. That’s a game changer for students. UniHomes wanted to try appealing to the student market on TikTok, to increase awareness to its booking portal in 2021.

To nail its target, UniHomes used a suite of In-Feed Auction Ads, one of TikTok’s most popular ad formats for driving exposure, awareness and engagement.

In-Feed Ads run natively in the For You feed, delivering short, sharp punches of exposure whilst generating deep engagement. This is because the ads offer a subtle approach, strategically positioned in the feed to feel organic with heaps of highly-targeted reach. The ads then push users to an external landing page.

The creative targeted students to sell the proposition. Each video offered different perspectives of student living, from pieces-to-camera to role play and clever edits. It was a great way to show authenticity, as well as get the key messaging across so that prospective students could go on to find out more.

The results delivered. The campaign amassed over 8 million impressions and over 66,000 clicks, showing that the ads had piqued the interest of students in the TikTok community. The ads also garnered an impressive 154,000 likes, bringing in that element of deep engagement.
